Günter Hans European Pub & Café Under New Ownership
Columbia, Missouri (March 31, 2022) – Günter Hans European Pub & Café is delighted to announce that the ownership of Günter Hans European Pub & Café has been transferred to Morgan Wright. Günter Hans will continue to be one of Columbia’s most treasured upscale pubs, most recognized for its European beer selection, handcrafted bretzels, artisanal fare, and secluded downtown Biergarten seating.
In a true twist that only fate could design, Morgan Wright will assume the position as the second female owner at the age of 25, the same age Lydia Melton was when she decided to open Günter Hans. After nine years of successful ownership under Lydia Melton, she has decided to pivot her attention towards consulting and other start-up ventures, such as The Business of Efficiency.

Morgan Wright is no stranger to the local Columbia, MO community. She graduated from the University of Missouri in 2018 as a third-generation legacy of the Hospitality Management program. Additionally, she is an experienced leader in the restaurant industry, servicing several accounts in the Columbia and Kansas City area. Morgan and her husband Regan Wright are eager to begin this new chapter in their lives and assume responsibility of Günter Hans.
